Kenny Dykstra claims Rene Dupree’s old potential at Lost and Found.![]() These are three words that could describe the expression on, ECW Extremist, Rene Dupree’s face when we let him know that, Raw Superstar, Kenny Dykstra had found his potential. “I’ve been looking for that!” exclaimed Dupree. “Where is he (Dykstra)?” Obviously he was excited towards the prospect of getting back his long-lost potential. Little did he know then, Dykstra wasn’t planning on giving it back. “I’m having a lot of fun with it” said Dykstra. “If Rene really loved having potential, he would’ve been more careful with it. It’s mine now”. According to Dupree, he’d misplaced his potential somewhere around two years ago and wasn’t aware that WWE even had a Lost and Found. “I checked everywhere” said Dupree. “I traced back my steps, checked old coat pockets and even looked through the Women’s Locker Room. I just couldn’t find my potential!” Lanny Smith, WWE’s Lost and Found desk manager, remembers the potential being brought in last summer. He says it was brought in by a WWE truck loader, who had found it outside an arena. “I just remember thinking about how it was such an incredible act of kindness” said Smith. “He could’ve just kept that potential for himself”. Despite the finder’s thoughtful returning, the potential did not find its’ way back to its’ owner. Rather, Kenny Dykstra found his way to it. And Dykstra is quick to point out a long standing, company rule. “It’s in the employee handbook, page 118” started Dykstra. “You can even talk to Mr. McMahon. The rules very clearly state that if something is left in the Lost and Found for longer than six months, it can be claimed by a new owner. I claimed it”. And Dykstra is right. So for now, the potential belongs to Dykstra. Rene Dupree might not be happy about that. But Lanny Smith suggests Dupree not get too stressed out about the situation. “Just keep checking the Lost and Found” he says. “Nobody has ever found that potential that Mark Jindrak lost a few years back. And the older guys are misplacing their talent all the time. You can really get some good stuff here”. |
